What I Expect From A Mentor:

I expect my mentor to provide guidance and direction based on their experience, helping me make informed career decisions and see the bigger picture. They should offer honest and constructive feedback to help me improve, while also supporting and encouraging me to stay motivated and confident. A good mentor should share knowledge, insights, and best practices, hold me accountable to my goals, and challenge me to grow beyond my comfort zone. Additionally, they should listen actively, understand my aspirations, respect my ideas, and maintain trust and confidentiality, while also offering exposure to new opportunities and networks where possible. We can agree on a timeline that works for both of us, as I am flexible, and I am also comfortable with virtual meetings.
