I have worked for some bigger companies in my youth but being young I was too busy trying to get ahead financially to be bothered spending time really listening and learning. I started my own small businesses and sold them over the past 25 years. I am an entrepreneur to the core. However, in working for myself, I never gained a real understanding of how to read financial documents, run inventories or manage cash flow.
Now I am involved in selling on Amazon in the US. I have been doing it for a few years, and am now a low 6 figure seller. However, I am finding that I really lack the business administration and financial skillset required to scale the business. I really need help on planning the development time lines for each product to launch and deal with the cash flow, finding funding and manage the finances down to even what to look for in my books for guidance.
I am involved in a high end training program for Amazon sellers, however it the conversational learning I seem to best with. With training structure I find there is not really a format to sit down and discuss issues and challenges and consider a path forward with someone one on one.
What I Expect From A Mentor:
I am pretty free flowing in my business in terms of timing and don't enjoy rigid schedules. I seem to be at my best between 11 and 3 in the day. I really would like to find a mentor that I connect with, who might be able to offer advice a bit on the fly when required. I am totally new to this and really have no idea what to expect and need some guidance as to what this might look like. I have always gone it alone without support so this will be a brand new experience for me.
