I am looking to start an investment company in real-estate to help others. I have a following of people that don't have much money but by pooling the funds together with the company I work for I could easily collect funds to start the company for the public. My problem is staying legal I don't want to find myself sitting in jail for breaking laws. Yet from what I read in the Sec rules and regulations here in the USA it makes it next to impossible to collect funds without a third party. yet at the same time it means less for the company and longer results to bring them a profit. I have been told you can collect funds from your followers on your personal web site without Sec getting involved but can not find anything to support that. I need advice on how to move forward.l
