I am a first generation college student, so being the first in my family to go to college I had to navigate, ask questions, and figure things out on my own. this means that I know quite a bit about how college works and if I don’t know then I’m able to figure it out relatively quickly or at least I know where to go or who to ask. I am looking to help others figure out what they want to do and what path they want to take to further their success in life because if it wasn’t for the people who mentored me I probably wouldn’t be where I am today, so I want to give back and help others in anyway that I can. Being someone with a disability, I understand the struggles that can come with everyday life. I may not be able to see well, but given the tools, i can do anything, and I’d like to give the same chance to others.
